Knowledge or Relationship

Today it is very easy to find information about everything. Everyone has something to say about anything. More and more people rely upon their knowledge and understanding, and yet we are told to trust the Lord. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). But, trust must be based on a love relationship.

We read in Genesis that it was because of the desire to attain knowledge and to be like God that Adam and Eve ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge (Genesis 3:6). They wanted to become like God through their own efforts and they ended up losing their intimate relationship with God (Genesis 3:22-23). Since that time mankind has struggled with a carnal mind that resists submitting to and trusting in God (Rom. 8:6-7).

In the end, it is only in a relationship with God through His Word that we can experience a transformation of our minds. This relationship is a daily process of receiving the mind of Christ. And that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth (Ephesians 4:23–24).

Let’s end the separation by ending an age of mistrust and resistance to God. We must accept the love of God and trust in the relationship that Christ opened reconciling us to the Father.
