Bread of Life

A couple of weeks ago, as we were celebrating the Sabbath and after saying our prayers over the wine and bread, my husband, who took a year of Hebrew at Shiloh University, started explaining to us that the Hebrew word for bread is lehem, which is in fact part of the word  בֵּית לֶחֶם Bet Lehem (Bethlehem) which means “House of Bread.”

When I think of Jesus being born in Bethlehem and that he is the bread of life, born in the house of bread, I am amazed at how detailed God is in His plans. Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” John 6:35

God is awesome. Nothing about His plans or intentions towards us is a coincidence. There is so much to learn, and the more I hear the word and study the word, the more my faith grows.

God wants to make Himself known, He wants to bless us. Our hunger for Him and desire to seek Him will guide us to His Word and to understand how much He loves us.

God bless you! Stay hungry, keep seeking and you will find Him! He promised us this!

Here are some scriptures to meditate on:

Jeremiah 29:13

Psalm 103:1-8

Ephesians 3:14-19

Matthew 7:7
