Pastor Daniel brought a beautiful message to prepare our hearts for the dedication of the newest member of our congregation, Levi Ikaika Baker, born on June 25th, 2010 to the proud parents Chris and Joanna Baker.
Pastor Daniel told us how we must constantly be changing and maturing in a family, especially when we have new children around. Our priorities change and the way we behave and talk around the kids change. We are always in a constant transition after we have a baby, and we are always working in our awareness of the family’s need.
God expects us to do the same in the Spiritual family! If we don’t grow and mature, that’s when we become a dysfunctional family. When you are a father and a mother, you can’t act like a child anymore, and you must carry the responsibility.
We are all responsible for what we do and what we say and for what feeds us and for what is coming out of our spirits around the family of God. Everyone becomes involved.
During Levi’s dedication we were all being dedicated to the Lord in a new way and in a new level. A relationship that is right has a sense of responsibility. At whatever level you are, you can help; you can walk in all the light you have today as our Father keeps giving you more light. Everyone should feel they have something to contribute to the family. We all have received gifts from God that we must be able to increase and multiply.
“…we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of His body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.” Ephesians 4:15-16, NLT
