Teaching Pastor

Daniel De Oliveira holds a Master of Divinity degree from Shiloh University in Kalona, Iowa. He is the senior pastor of Anuhea Chapel in the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii. He graduated as a veterinarian from Universidade Federal Fluminense in Niteroi, Brazil.

Pastor Daniel has been part of the Maui community for 13 years. He and his wife Debbie, and daughter Julia, moved to Maui from Brazil in 2007, and in 2017 they became American citizens. Their younger daughter Leilani was born on Maui in 2008. Daniel and his family are delighted to serve this church family and the Maui community. Especially in the last few years Daniel has been involved with a group of pastors from other churches on Maui, with monthly prayer gatherings, annual statewide prayer, and hosting a workshop for young leaders.

Daniel has been teaching Spiritual Formation at Shiloh University since 2015, which opens the door for interaction with believers from many different places and backgrounds.

One of Daniel’s passions is the study of the early beginnings of the New Testament Church. He searches out the Hebrew Roots of the New Testament including the life and ministry of Jesus and His disciples. It is his understanding that the process of the restoration or reformation of the church that started with Martin Luther is not over; and by the study of the first decades of the church, as we read the book of Acts and epistles of the New Testament, we will be able to see and make the next steps in the restoration of the church.
