We are now in a very significant time of preparation to celebrate the Feast of Passover. Throughout the Bible, the Lord told His people to celebrate the Feasts: “‘Now this day will be a memorial to you, and you shall celebrate it as a feast to the LORD; throughout your generations you are to celebrate it as a permanent ordinance.” (Exodus 12:14, NASB95)
One of the things I woke up thinking about is that in every Feast of Passover there was something that people did to trigger the result of Passover, either deliverance or judgment. There is always some clear instruction on what to do, how to do it, and how to prepare. We must stay in the Word of instruction and be obedient.
In the first Passover, Moses told the people to stay home: “‘Now you shall eat it in this manner: with your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste—it is the LORD’S Passover. ” (Exodus 12:11, NASB95)
Out of people’s obedience the miracle of Passover happened and Israel was delivered out of years of bondage in Egypt.
When Jesus Christ was crucified during the Feast of Passover, we also see that it was an act of obedience that opened the door for our Salvation and deliverance from bondage, Jesus said: “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.” (Luke 22:42, NASB95)
Let’s believe that our obedience can trigger, during this Feast of Passover, the deliverance that we have been looking for.
