“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:10, NLT).
God is a loving Father who created mankind out of a desire to have a relationship. He longed to have sons that would give their lives in worship to Him. Although sometimes we might feel worthless and undeserving, He has chosen us to be His sons. We are nothing, but He delights in creating something out of nothing. We might see ourselves as a pile of rubbish, but He sees a magnificent work of art in progress.
If we will wait on the Lord to receive, He will bring an understanding of what He is doing in our lives. In our immaturity we try to do things on our own, fix our own problems, and perfect our own flesh. But if we simply stay in His presence, on the potter’s wheel, then He will continue to form us into His masterpiece (Jeremiah 18:3-6). God is taking something that is made from dust and turning it into something that will reveal His glory.
In 1 Corinthians 1: 27 we read, “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.” It is okay for us to feel foolish and weak; for we know that wisdom and strength can only come to us by the work of God’s hands. He loves you and has a plan for your life, just stay in His presence and let Him keep working. Every day ask the Lord to keep working with you. Keep putting your trust in Him and have faith in His ability to recreate you into His divine nature.
