I believe kindness is a powerful aspect of love, especially when applied in our homes. It is something that can cause immediate change in our day and it helps our love not to grow cold.
When someone acts kindly to you, it immediately triggers a chain reaction, you can’t help it but responding in a kind way. Being kind bears much fruit.
Calculatedly start planning situations where you can show kindness at home. Surprise the people around you that wouldn’t expect you to do certain things during the day with such love and kindness that they can’t help but opening their hearts. It is so fun to do this and it really works!
I believe we have to be creative and fun in our expression of love. Love requires action, it needs to be expressed and it is God’s very nature. This passage from I Peter 1:22-23 explains how we should behave:
Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and abiding word of God.
